In spring 2016, I had the pleasure of working with Peter and Paul Reynolds, FableVision Studios, and The Trustees to create Charley Eliot and the Knights of the Woods. This beautiful storybook commemorates the 125th anniversary of The Trustees, an organization that protects and cares for 116 natural, cultural, and agricultural sites across Massachusetts. I was thrilled to work on this project, providing additional illustration, research, and design support.

Along with the joy of working with Peter, Paul, FableVision, and The Trustees, I had the honor of painting six of The Trustees' beautiful locations for the endpapers:

Paul's story and Peter's art bring young Charles Eliot to life. A lover of nature and a true visionary, Eliot grew up to found The Trustees of Public Reservations in 1891. The Trustees gifted this book to attendees of their 125th Anniversary Gala, and copies are now available for purchase at some of The Trustees' sites, including Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, and Naumkeag House and Gardens in Stockbridge.

There will also be a special teacher/librarian event at The Blue Bunny Books in Dedham later this year.
